Heroman was an anime and manga series by the late Stan Lee. It revolved around a young boy called Joey, who meets a robot friend he names Heroman. Together they fight various aliens. The manga was published in Monthly Shōnen Gangan and began serialization in September 2009, while the anime premiered on April 1, 2010, on TV Tokyo and related stations. Stan came up with the series' basic plot, referring to the series and character as "a new hero for the 21st century".
