The Skrugg are a race of evil aliens that serve as the main antagonists for the first half of the series.
Summary[]
They seek out resources on inhabited worlds to ensure their own survival. By human standards they are immoral, at least from what's been shown, as they have no qualms about attacking another species and causing destruction right off the bat, making no attempts at peace. The Skrugg are arrogant and often underestimate alien species, thus are caught off guard when something unexpected happens. From a human standpoint, a Skrugg resemble an evolved cockroach. They are extremely weak to high frequency sound as it's how Skrugg communicate with one another.
Military[]
The Skrugg operate with a central chain of command that their leader is solely responsible for. Their tactics are highly irregular, as they do not deploy any equivalent to fighting vehicles such as tanks or helicopters while invading earth, though their armor can easily take cannon fire and machine gun fire without a scratch so perhaps they do not deem it necessary.
After being defeated, Kogorr, create a 2 new type of Skrugg, 1 with a humanoid apearence, and other with a dog apearence, to reemplase his old troops.
Technology[]
The vast majority of the Skrugg's technology is either biological or has organic-looking components inside it. The Skrugg also seem to possess the ability to genetically modify any lifeform by combining their DNA with it, which seems to be extremely malleable. This allows them to potentially adapt to any environment or circumstance.
The process of genetic modification is left vague, but one known method is to place a lifeform into the same incubation chamber as a Skrugg embryo to create a hybrid (the unfortunate fate of Will and Nick).
Exclusive to the manga version, 3 Skrugg were made using a similar process with earth insect DNA.
- Ezzi: using Mantis DNA
- Brito: unsing Pillbug DNA
- Paua: mixing Rhinoceros Beetle and Stag Beetle DNA

Trivia[]
- When a Skrugg is defeated, everything except their chest segment explodes into green goo. This same segment is also found inside each of the incubation chambers, and one even opens its eyes when approached. This may imply that defeated Skrugg have merely gone dormant, and can be revived later.
- Implied by Will, if the "gems" on their chest are destroyed it would eventually trigger a mutation and adaptation, causing his and Kroggor futher form.
